2019 Ford Mustang GT California Special: Appreciation Post

As part of the reinvention of the Mustang brand, Ford is bringing back one of the most iconic special editions, the California Special. The 2019 Ford Mustang GT California Special is an appearance package that eschews the usual sports or performance idea in favour of cruising elegance and I like it!
Available in coupe or convertible guise, the 2019 Ford Mustang GT California Special brings a unique set of alloy wheels, fading side stripe, performance package trim elements including front splitter, black grille, and unique badging. On the inside, you get a unique black interior with GT/CS embroidered badging and red contrast stitching. While available on the coupe, I definitely think it looks best on the convertible even if drop tops aren't the most practical option for most Canadians.
As this is a GT, it will also get the new rev-matching tech and the new active exhaust system. Those two alone make the step up to the GT worthwhile before we even mention the engine.
2018 Ford Mustang GT
The 2018 Ford Mustang needs very little introduction. Ford have taken a heritage marque and made it modern without losing any of that original allure that made the Mustang such an icon. The new shape is simply awesome. One minute is could be a stop light drag racer and the next a relaxed highway cruiser. It all depends on the mood you're in and how you see the car that day.
The GT has a 5.0-litre Coyote V8 engine that delivers 460 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. It is available as a six speed manual or 10 speed automatic that sends power to the rear wheels. The variable exhaust is there, as is improved fuel injection, a higher redline and lots of other tricks to get this car to 60mph in less than 4 seconds. More importantly, even when cruising or commuting, the V8 engine note is one of the finest anywhere.
