Canada Day Countdown Contest - Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility

The Canada Day Countdown Contest (the "Contest") is open solely to legal residents of Ontario, Canada, who are 19 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, directors, officers, and immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) of Car Nation Canada and its family of dealerships, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, are not eligible to enter or win.

2. Contest Period

The Contest begins at 12:00:01 AM Eastern Time (ET) on June 1st, 2025, and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on July 1st, 2025 (the "Contest Period"). All entries must be received within the Contest Period.

3. How to Enter

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Participants can earn entries during the Contest Period through the following methods:

  • Primary Entry (Mandatory): Complete and submit the official Contest entry form available on the Car Nation Canada and family of dealerships' websites.
  • Additional Entries (Optional, but Boost Your Chances!):
    • Social Media Follow: Follow the official social media page(s) of Car Nation Canada and its family of dealerships on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. (1 additional entry per platform followed).
    • Social Media Post Like: Like the official Contest announcement post on Car Nation Canada and its family of dealerships' social media page(s). (1 additional entry per liked post).
    • Social Media Tag-A-Friend: Tag five (5) unique friends in the comments section of the official Contest announcement post on social media. You may perform this action up to five (5) times per platform, ensuring each tag includes five (5) different unique friends per action. (Up to 5 additional entries per platform where this action is performed).
    • Social Media Share: Share the official Contest announcement post from Car Nation Canada and its family of dealerships' social media page(s) to your own public profile. (1 additional entry per share).

Entry Limit: While only one entry via the primary form is permitted per person, participants may earn multiple additional entries through the social media actions as described above. All entries must be from a legitimate individual account.

4. Prize

One (1) prize will be awarded:

  • A $500 Pre-Paid Visa Gift Card.

The prize is non-transferable, non-assignable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other substitute, except at the sole discretion of Car Nation Canada and its family of dealerships. Car Nation Canada and its family of dealerships reserve the right to substitute the prize with an item of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for any reason.

5. Winner Selection & Notification

The winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The draw will take place shortly after the Contest Period ends.

The potential winner will be announced during the week of July 1st, 2025, on Car Nation Canada and its family of dealerships' websites and social media pages. The potential winner will also be contacted directly via the contact information (email or phone) provided on their entry form within five (5) business days of the draw.

To claim the prize, the potential winner must respond to the notification within seven (7) business days and may be required to sign a Declaration and Release form confirming eligibility and compliance with these rules, and to correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without mechanical or other aid. Failure to respond or fulfill these requirements will result in forfeiture of the prize, and an alternate winner may be selected.

6. General Conditions

  • Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
  • Car Nation Canada and its family of dealerships are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, or misdirected entries, which will be disqualified.
  • Car Nation Canada and its family of dealerships reserve the right to disqualify any participant who violates these Official Rules, or engages in fraudulent or unsportsmanlike conduct.
  • Car Nation Canada and its family of dealerships reserve the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.
  • All decisions of Car Nation Canada and its family of dealerships regarding any aspect of the Contest are final and binding.

7. Release and Limitation of Liability

By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Car Nation Canada and its family of dealerships, their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with this Contest or any prize won.

8. Privacy

Any personal information collected during the Contest (e.g., name, email, phone number) will be used by Car Nation Canada and its family of dealerships for the sole purpose of administering this Contest and in accordance with their privacy policy. By entering, participants consent to the use of their name, likeness, and city of residence for promotional purposes without further compensation, should they be declared a winner.

9. Governing Law

The Contest is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising under or in connection with the Contest shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.

10. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Car Nation Canada and its family of dealerships reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on their official websites and social media pages.
