2018 Ford F-450 Limited: A Quick Overview

If you like them big or haul heavy loads, you going to love the new 2018 Ford F-450 Limited. It’s the daddy of Ford pickups and this new version promises to be more comfortable and more luxurious than ever.
First shown at the Texas State Fair, the 2018 Ford F-450 Limited is a big truck. They like them big in Texas but some jobs require a big truck wherever you live and the F-450 seeks to deliver.
The 2018 Ford F-450 Limited is the top tier of truck and comes with everything from two-tone leather upholstery to suede trim, real wood interior trim and the ability to tow up to 15 tonnes. Powered by a 6.7-litre V8 PowerStroke diesel engine, there is a not lot that it cannot do.
Ford says there is an appetite for luxurious tricks that it has barely begun to tap.
There are heavy-duty truck customers who need Super Duty-level capability and want true luxury,” Ford’s press release said. “We created this new truck to answer the call for even more premium choices in the Super Duty range as we see more and more truck customers trending to more premium models.”
More than 50 percent of the Super Duty lineup’s retail sales this year are high-end models – including Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum series. Limited goes even further.
“Imagine opening the door to your humidor and sinking into your favourite leather lounge chair – that’s the sensation new Super Duty Limited inspires,” said Ford design manager Aileen Barraza.

The features list for the 2018 F-450 Limited reads more like a luxury sedan. It includes high-definition 360-degree camera with Trailer Reverse Guidance, SYNC 3, BLIS with trailer coverage, adaptive cruise control, adaptive steering, lane-keeping alert, forward collision warning with brake support, flat rear load floor with fold-up locking storage, quad-beam LED headlamps, full panoramic moonroof with retractable shade, heated and ventilated front seats, plus heated rear seats and leather-trimmed, heated steering wheel.
And the cost for all this capability and luxury? Almost $100,000 with taxes and fees.
There is no doubt that the 2018 Ford F-450 Limited is a capable truck and with a feature list as long as your arm.
