U.S. EPA website outs all-wheel drive Dodge Challenger GT

We are used to our leaks coming from unconfirmed sources and having to double and triple check with other sources to make sure. Yet in this case, the source of this latest Dodge leak seems pretty reliable. That leak came from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency who accidentally published fuel economy data for an all-wheel drive Dodge Challenger GT.

The new model had been rumoured to be happening but was as-yet unconfirmed. Dodge is/was reportedly developing the car and planning to release it next year but refused to confirm anything. Fan sites also speculated and cited rumours but again, had nothing to confirm. Now it seems our work has been done for us.

A page on the EPA website says the Dodge Challenger GT does 18 miles per gallon in city driving and 27 MPG on the highway, giving it a combined rating of 21 MPG. Unfortunately, that’s all we know for sure right now. The rest of the specs remain a mystery but at least we know the Dodge Challenger GT is actually coming!

2017 Dodge Challenger
The 2017 Dodge Challenger is definitely a car for the heritage fans. It remains true to old school muscle while others slim down, round-out and become more European in their manners and style. It still has as much road presence now as it did 30 years ago and for all the right reasons.

The engines of previous years continue with the 2017 model. They include the 3.6-litre V6 that produces 305 hp, a 5.7-litre HEMI that’s good for 375 hp, the 6.4-litre V8 in the SRT and R/T that delivers 485 hp and the showstopping supercharged Hellcat V8 that delivers 707 hp. All use an eight speed automatic or 6 speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear.

The sheer size of the Challenger means there is plenty of space within the cabin. Driver and passenger space is generous, with plenty of head and legroom all round. The trunk is also a decent size too. The interior is well put together, uses good materials, great finishing and is a nice place to spend time.

There are ten trim options with the 2017 Dodge Challenger so you really can build one just how you like it. With lots of colours, wheels, technology options and more, there is a lot to customize. Add the new Apple Car CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and you have all the ingredients for a top quality ownership experience.

The 2017 Dodge Challenger has retained the very thing that made it so popular, road presence. Visit Unique Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, 915 Walkers Line, Burlington, ON  L7N 3V8 to experience it for yourself.
