A Quick Look At The 2020 Ram 1500 Built to Serve Edition

Ram has announced a special edition of the 1500 truck designed specifically for the five armed services. In a U.S.-oriented model released in time for Veterans Day, this new model has some key differences that will attract many buyers.
The Ram 1500 Built to Serve Edition is in fact a series of special editions. There will be one for each service, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard released one every quarter. Each edition will differ slightly from the other but will have some general characteristics across each model.
Those characteristics will include special colours, unique 20 inch alloy wheels, body coloured exterior trim that includes the front grille, U.S. flag decals, Built to Serve badging and a series of Velcro strips, presumably for unit patches to be secured to.
This special edition will be available across the entire Ram 1500 range.
“Ram wants to honor those who are serving or have served the United States with distinction,” said Reid Bigland, head of Ram brand. “For Ram truck owners – whether military or civilian – ‘Built to Serve’ is a maxim that they can be proud to stand behind.
We also want to bring together Ram owners who are not currently serving to make a difference in their communities. We launched our Ram Nation volunteer organization in 2015 as a way to give our Ram truck owners a way to be involved when there’s a need.”
