The Nissan Rogue Warrior is On Another Level

After drooling over the Nissan Titan Warrior Concept last week, we couldn’t let the equally impressive Nissan Rogue Warrior go by without a comment. Showcased in Montreal, the specially adapted Rogue SUV has a neat trick up its sleeve. It runs on tracks!
Adapted by Quebec-based MIA (Motorsports in Action), the Nissan Rogue Warrior has four Dominator tracks instead of wheels. These tracks allow the SUV to tackle 45 degree climbs in the snow, drive up to 100 km/h and run through drifts of up to 16” deep.
This video is a bit of fun that shows the Rogue Warrior in action.
There are no apparent plans to bring the Nissan Rogue Warrior into production but it is a showcase of just what can be done with a budget, imagination and skills!
2016 Nissan Rogue
The 2016 Nissan Rogue is a family SUV that looks good and offers practicality with the famed Nissan reliability. It can seat up to seven adults plus luggage and has a classy interior you would expect of this Japanese automaker.
The exterior is tidy and modern and offers quite an understated look for an SUV. The now familiar Nissan front end with its large grille and badge, angled headlights and tidy front fascia looks the part while also looking quite unobtrusive. Fluted panels on the doors and a slightly angled roof continues that subtle look all the way to the tight rear end and a set of neat looking taillights.
The inside is just as you might expect from Nissan. Everything is well put together, the driving position is well laid-out and there is enough passenger space for everyone. The third row is optional but offers practical seating with more space than you might think considering its modest size.
The 2016 Nissan Rogue comes with a 2.5-litre four cylinder that delivers 170 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. It uses a CVT transmission to send power to the front, or all wheels. The CVT lends itself well to city driving and exceptionally well to driving tracks too!
There are three trim levels, S, SV and SL. As usual with Nissan, even the base trim is well specified, offering 17 inch wheels, LED running lights, remote keyless entry, air conditioning, cruise control, 5 inch display, reversing camera, CD audio with Bluetooth and satellite radio.
Head up the trim ladder to access that third row of seating, alloy wheels, roof rails, privacy glass, climate control, heated mirrors, power liftgate, leather upholstery and NissanConnect among many, many other options.
