Nissan Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition

For me, the biggest news of the week comes from Nissan. They have announced that they will be releasing a Nissan Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition as a movie tie-in vehicle. As an avid Star Wars fan for more years than I care to remember, this fills me with glee. The Nissan Rogue is a superb SUV and a special edition that mixes a great car with a great movie franchise is the best of both worlds!

Nissan have yet to release any details about the new SUV but will be revealing it at the LA Auto Show 17-19 November 2016. As the movie is releasing a month later on 16 December, it’s good timing on both companies part.

Movie tie-ins are nothing new but the partnering of a great SUV with a superb movie franchise should be one to watch.

2016 Nissan Rogue
The 2016 Nissan Rogue is a family crossover SUV that comes as either a two or three row option to seat five or seven. It’s a great looking vehicle that manages to combine an aerodynamic appearance with SUV cabin space.

The design is definitely Nissan. The now familiar family grille, with the chrome V in the centre and angled headlights each side is a nice statement. An angled hood, raked windshield and sloped roof round off what is traditionally a quite blocky profile in other SUVs.

The interior is exactly what you would expect from Nissan. It is well designed and very well put together. The dashboard is simple yet stylish, the driver’s position nicely laid out with everything within easy reach. With Aero Gravity seats up front, driving and being a front seat passenger is a very comfortable experience. With up to two rows behind, there is enough space for a family to travel in comfort.

Under the hood is a 2.5-litre four cylinder that delivers 170 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. It delivers power to the front or all wheels via a CVT transmission. The drive is smooth and acceleration is steady, making it ideal for highway or city driving.

As the 2016 Nissan Rogue is a family car, safety tech is paramount. That’s why you get stability and traction control, front-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags, a rearview camera and hill-start assist as standard. Optional safety tech includes blind-spot warning, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning system with automatic emergency braking and Nissan’s Around View camera system.

The 2016 Nissan Rogue is a fantastic family SUV with all the right elements. Check out the latest deals at Collins Nissan, 155 Scott Street, St. Catharines, Ontario, L2N 1H3.
