New cars to look forward to in 2018

The new year is a time of optimism and for forward planning. To push forward with your ambitions and plans to move, improve or otherwise change up. The auto industry is no different from you and I. Each new year brings a desire to broaden their appeal, attract new buyers and increase market share. So what vehicles are being released this year to help with that?

Today’s and tomorrow’s blog posts are going to cover just a few of the new cars we are expecting this year.

2019 Ford Focus
I covered the 2019 Ford Focus back in December 2017 and liked what I saw. This version looks slightly longer and wider than previous versions but still looks like a Focus. A new front end, new rear quarter and new lights and interior were on display in a poorly camouflaged demo car last year.

We expect the 2019 Ford Focus to be unveiled at Detroit this month.

2018 Jeep Wrangler
While already revealed, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler is definitely a car I’m looking forward to checking out this year. A revised look that is still all Jeep, a new interior that combines practicality and modernity and a look and feel that is both old and new in an entirely good way.

It is slightly more expensive than the current model but the JL Wrangler looks to be worth every cent!

2019 Jeep Cherokee
The 2019 Jeep Cherokee is due to be unveiled at Detroit this month and is another model I am looking forward to seeing. The modernization of a much-loved model is always a mixture of nervousness and excitement and the arrival of the 2019 Jeep Cherokee is no different.

New looks, new lights, new front and rear end and a new centre stack are just some of the reasons to look forward to its arrival.

2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
The 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is a special edition to top all special editions. We have only rumours right now but they are growing in strength. A speedometer that exceeds 200 mph, rumours of a new V8 engine, supercharger, direct injection, 10-speed automatic transmission and lots more besides.

This is a car I am very much looking forward to even if it is unlikely I will ever get to drive it!

2019 Ford Ranger
The 2019 Ford Ranger should bring a very popular European truck to North America. The smaller sibling to the all-conquering F-150, the Ranger looks fantastic and will be ideal for the leisure crowd who want the utility of a truck without the size or social implications that come with truck ownership.

The exact arrival date is still unknown but it is certainly due this year. This is one vehicle I am definitely going to try for myself!
