Kia ‘Father & Son’s Road Trip’ marketing campaign hits its stride
Posted on June 20, 2017
Love it or hate it, emotional marketing is here to stay. Why? Because it works. It has successfully lured us to change our buying habits, switch brands and engage more with companies, so why wouldn’t automakers want a piece of that? Kia is the latest automaker to join the bandwagon with their ‘Father & Son’s Road Trip’ marketing series.
Their videos have been so effective that they have gone viral, having been viewed over 10 million times so far.
Here is one of the videos:
Released in time for Father’s Day this past Sunday, the videos combine heart-warming stories of fathers and sons and also a Kia or two. One model that features across many of these videos is the Kia Sorento. As my favourite crossover SUV, I am glad it is getting the attention it deserves.
2017 Kia Sorento
The new 2017 Kia Sorento introduces Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. It also debuts Kia’s newest safety features, adaptive headlights and automatic emergency braking. Both of which combine to help make this car very safe indeed.
After the redesign of 2016, Kia didn’t feel the need to make any big design changes. I must say that I agree with that for now. The Sorento is a fantastic looking car with great road presence and a very mature profile. It is one of the best-looking crossovers on the market right now in my opinion.
Drive by three engine options and available across five or seven seats and five trim levels, there is a lot of choice when selecting your 2017 Kia Sorento. The 2.4-litre four cylinder produces 185 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque, the 2.0-litre turbo four produces 240 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque and the 3.3-litre V6 engine delivers 290 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque. The engines are well balanced and offer different options for different uses.
With a feature-rich interior, lots of technology and a five star safety score, there are many reasons to consider the 2017 Kia Sorento. However, just look at it and you have reason enough to explore it further. Once you get behind the wheel, the comfortable driving position, considered dashboard and smooth driving experience will seal the deal.
The 2017 Kia Sorento is a very understated car that delivers on all counts. It is just the care we have been hoping for from Kia and I am happy to say it doesn’t disappoint. Visit Kia of Hamilton, 1885 Upper James St, Hamilton ON, L9B 1K8 to book a test drive.
