Jeep Wrangler JPP 20

Jeep Wrangler JPP 20

If you’re a fan of the Wrangler but always wanted it to do more, the Jeep Wrangler JPP 20 might be the car for you. If you’re planning for the apocalypse in one way or another and want a vehicle able to handle anything future earth has to throw at it, this is one vehicle you’re definitely going to want to consider. It would also work well back in the real world too!

The Jeep Wrangler JPP 20 was shown at the Chicago Auto show last week and drew quite the crowd. It is built on the chassis of a standard four door Wrangler with a bunch of Mopar Jeep Performance Parts (hence the JPP moniker) bolted on to create this monster.

Jeep Performance Parts

The Jeep Performance Parts begin at the front end with a different bumper with skid plate underneath, a built-in Rubicon winch and extra lights, then a hood decal featuring the US flag, more lights in front of the windshield, a mesh roof, tubular aluminium side doors, new mirrors and an open rear.

The Jeep Wrangler JPP 20 also has a 2 inch lift kit, rock rails, new strengthened tailgate to cope with larger wheels and tires, new brake light and black trim throughout. There is also the Trailer Tow and Heavy Duty Electrical package to help manage the winch and those extra lights.

The Jeep Wrangler JPP 20 will be available in just two colours, Ocean Blue and White. The blue is nice, a rich deep colour that works well with the black trim. We have yet to see the white version. There are also five wheel designs to choose from.

And there’s more

Buyers of the Jeep Wrangler JPP 20 can choose from either the 2.0-litre turbocharged four cylinder that makes 270 hp or the 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel that makes 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. The gas engine can be specified with or without eTorque for extra low down power.

Inside the Jeep Wrangler JPP 20, you get leather seats with JPP logo, all-weather mats, a Mopar cargo tray at the rear, the Jeep Technology package with 7 inch touchscreen, rear park assist and blind spot monitoring.

Some of this kit will be installed at the factory while some will be done at the dealership. Jeep says this is a limited run but didn’t say how limited. Neither did they mention price or whether you pay as a package or buy the base Wrangler and pay a kit price for everything else.

Jeep did say it will be available Spring 2020 so we don’t have long to wait until we find out. Visit Unique Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, 915 Walkers Line, Burlington, ON L7N 3V8 to register your interest in the Jeep Wrangler JPP 20.
