Hennessey HPE800 Mustang

Hennessey HPE800 Mustang

599 × 361
Not to be outdone by the Dodge Challenger Hellcat, Ford specialist tuners Hennessey have created the HPE800 Mustang. It’s a V8 version of the new Ford Mustang that delivers 804 hp, just a few more than the Hellcat.

With a new exhaust, redesigned fuel delivery system and a completely overhauled and upgraded motor, the new Mustang has to be heard to be believed. It also features a new supercharger and all the supporting upgrades to keep it running. The car is a celebration of Hennessey’s 25 years in operation and of the Ford Mustang GT, one of the best looking Mustangs ever.

The HPE800 Mustang goes from 0 – 60 in 3.1 seconds and will top out at 210 mph!

Other improvements to the HPE800 Mustang include a meaner body kit that includes a new front splitter, trunk spoiler, side skirts and some trim detailing. The car also comes with uprated Brembo brakes to tame all that power and lowered suspension to help keep it on the road.

Only 25 Hennessey HPE800 Mustangs will be built and while available now, pricing has yet to be announced. Expect it to cost a premium though given the name behind the car and the kind of power we’re talking about.

2016 Ford Mustang
We talk a lot about the 2016 Ford Mustang here on the Car Nation Canada blog and with good reason. It is an awesome car. Few names bring a smile to your face even if you’re not particularly regarded as a petrol head. Few designs have endured and few car models have the appeal and cache of the Ford Mustang.

A lot of new owners have said just how versatile the car is. It is an everyday commuter with the power and fun factor of a weekend racer. You can keep your foot light and use it as an everyday car or run with a slightly heavier foot for a little more fun. It looks, feels and sounds like a muscle car but also offers the practicality of a family car.

The engine options cover all bases. The 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine is a sensible choice, offering 310 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque. The 3.7-litre V6 offers more of a burble and 300 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. The 5.0-litre V8 elevates that burble to something noteworthy and delivers 435 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. All use either a six speed manual or automatic transmission.

If you have yet to be convinced of the awesomeness of the Mustang, visit Northway Ford Lincoln, 388 King George Road Brantford ON N3S 3N2 to take a test drive. We’ll bet you’ll be converted!
