Ford Mustang up for World Car of the Year

Ford Mustang up for World Car of the Year

We love the new Ford Mustang. It's one of those pivotal cars
around which the entire industry changes course. The ability to mix modern
styling with heritage, power with efficiency and the compromise between being a
muscle car and an everyday driver is hard to beat. Many will try, most will
fail.

It seems we aren't the only people to think the Ford Mustang
is a cool car. At the culmination of the Geneva Motor Show, the contenders for
the World Car of the Year were announced and the Ford Mustang was one of them.
Alongside the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Volkswagen's Passat, the Mustang stands
proud.

As far as looks go, there is no competition from the Passat.
It is an exercise in ordinary and compared to both the Mustang or the C-Class
is nowhere in terms of aesthetic appeal. It has good mechanicals and a good
drive though, so pulls a little back from there. However, it is currently
unclear whether the model in question is the cooler-looking European model or
the one we see over here.
