Driving social engagement to promote 2016 Nissan Altima

In an
effort to widen the market reach of the 2016 Nissan Altima, the Japanese automaker
is turning to social media. To engage the next generation of drivers, a series
of videos has been produced as part of a social media campaign that encourages
engagement with the brand.

The series
of videos runs from now until November 16th and includes a series of
questions about those videos. Participants will be required to answer
questions, provide screenshots and pick out the required features within each
video. Once you have your answers, post onto one of the selected social media
sites with the hashtag #ALT16Contest. Winners will be submitted for a prize of
one of 10 $500 (U.S.) gift cards.

2016 Nissan Altima

The first
2016 Nissan Altima rolled off the production line last week. Those for North
America are being assembled at the Nissan Smyrna plant in Tennessee and
production is now in full swing. The first deliveries of the vehicle is
expected sometimes next month for U.S. markets, with the date still to be set
for Canada.

The new
look Altima is a refresh of an already successful design. It brings modernity
and style to the sedan and will elevate it in the eyes of its audience. Along
with the Maxima, the 2016 Nissan Altima looks more mature as a vehicle. There
is definitely something less Asian and more global about it but we can’t put it
effectively into words.

The cabin
has also experience the refresh treatment. The interior has always been one of
Nissan’s strengths and this is no different. The 2016 Nissan Altima gets a
redesigned centre stack, while the console and steering wheel have been
refined. The very effective Zero Gravity seats remain which is very good news.

Under the
hood is either a 2.5-litre four that produces 182 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque or
a 3.5-litre V6 that’s good for 270 hp and 251 lb-ft of torque. These are the
same engines are in current Altimas, so we know they are capable, refined and
efficient. Both use a newly tweaked Nissan CVT transmission that makes shifting
much smoother and much more responsive than in previous models.

The trim
levels are much the same too, which extra safety features and technology
options across the range. This year introduces the sporty SR trim for the Altima
which adds new wheels, black trim, smoked glass and different fog lights.

The 2016
Nissan Altima is going to be a best seller, we just know it. We can’t wait to
get our hands on one! Check out the Nissan range at Collins Nissan, 155 Scott
Street, St. Catharines, ON L2N 1H3.
