2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger to get 7 new variants

2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger to get 7 new variants

The 2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger are the model’s swansong, ready to be replaced by some form of electrified models. To say a fond farewell, Dodge has created 7 new versions of the cars.

The automaker is calling them “heritage-influenced” models but has yet to say what they are all about.

At Dodge Speed Week earlier this month, the cars were hinted but were kept at a distance, under wrap. Literally under wrap. So, we have very little idea what to expect.

Dodge just said each model would have some kind of connection to an iconic Challenger or Charger from the past.

As the two have a long past, that’s a lot of scope for speculation!

We will have a while to wait though. Dodge said it would reveal one model at SEMA in November and the other six ‘later this year’.

“We are celebrating the end of an era — and the start of a bright new electrified future — by staying true to our brand,” said brand boss Tim Kuniskis.

“At Dodge, we never lift, and the brand will mark the last of our iconic Charger and Challenger nameplates in their current form in the same way that got us here, with a passion both for our products and our enthusiasts that drives us to create as much uniqueness in the muscle car community and marketplace as possible.”

Last call for Challenger and Charger

As well as these 7 special editions, or variants, there will be three old colours re-released.

They are B5 Blue, Plum Crazy and Sublime Green. Each has been seen before on other models and will be seen again in this lust hurrah.

A new colour, Destroyer Grey will also appear as an option on some models.

There will also be the opportunity for a convertible Challenger care of Drop Top Customs in the U.S.

We haven’t seen a convertible since the seventies, but as a goodbye, Dodge has partnered up with the car outfit to provide a unique opportunity to drive a convertible Challenger.

If that wasn’t enough, you’ll also be able to jailbreak your Charger or Challenger SRT Hellcat.

As the name suggests, the Jailbreak editions allow you to use any combination of colours and a wider variety of trim than the usually locked down options.

So, if you want something a little different, that would be the time to order.

Finally, Dodge are also placing ‘Last Call’ plaques in each car under the hood of the 2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger.

This is to commemorate the long and illustrious history of the cars and will include the message “Designed in Auburn Hills” and “Assembled in Brampton.”

There’s a lot going on with the 2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger. Keep up to date with Unique Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, 915 Walkers Line, Burlington, ON L7N 3V8.
