2022 Ford Maverick gets Good EPA Rating

2022 Ford Maverick gets Good EPA Rating

The US EPA has rated the mileage of the 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid and it looks good. The rating is 42 mpg city, 33 highway, 37 combined. That’s pretty good for a truck.

That kind of gas mileage means you should get in excess of 500 miles (805km) from a tank of gas in this little Ford truck.

If you compare the 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid’s 42/33/37 to a standard 2.0-litre engined FWD model at 23/30/26, you can see quite a difference!

The 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid is going to be a popular truck. It was always going to be popular but even more so now.

Not only does it look great and still deliver the full truck experience, you can now get car-like gas mileage out of it too!

The 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid uses a 2.5-litre four cylinder engine with 94-kw electric motor to deliver a total of 191 hp and 155 lb-ft of torque. Even though it’s a hybrid designed for efficiency, they haven’t left you wanting for power.

2022 Ford Maverick

The Ford Maverick Hybrid is a great looking little truck. It looks a bit like an F-150 but is different enough to be completely its own truck.

It’s a compact truck and soon to be Ford’s only vehicle small enough to be classed as a family car. All while being able to tow and haul modest loads.

The design is soft and rounded with nice balance and great proportions.

The front grille looks similar to an F-150 but also different. The lights and centre line are different, as is the lower fascia. Panel detailing is minimal, including on the hood, which keeps things smooth.

The rear tailgate is the only place where any detailing is obvious and looks a little out of place. But not enough to put you off the truck as the overall package is a good one.

Inside, the interior is decent, with comfortable seating and a nice driver layout. There are some hard plastics around but this is a truck after all.

Otherwise, visibility is good, the controls are all where you would expect and there is plenty of room in the second row for the family.

The truck bed is modest, 1370mm x 915mm and is capable of hauling up to 680kg. Not amazing by any standards but it should be plenty enough for most uses.

The 2022 Ford Maverick will come with automatic emergency braking and automatic high beams. There is also the option to add active lane control, adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors, and blind-spot monitors should you want them.

Demand for the 2022 Ford Maverick has far exceeded expectations so if you want one, you have better move fast to avoid delays!
