2021 Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition

Last week saw the very first 2021 1500 TRX Launch Edition roll off the Ram production line at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan. The special edition truck is limited to just 702 units and number 001 has already been completed.
The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition celebrates the new TRX line of performance trucks. Fortunately, only the Launch Edition is limited, while the TRX line will not be.
“We’re ecstatic to announce the start of production of the award-winning, all-new 2021 Ram 1500 TRX,” said Mike Koval Jr., head of Ram Brand, in a statement.
“The Ram 1500 TRX bolsters the brand’s strong history of high-performance trucks while expanding Ram’s light-duty lineup with the segment’s best combination of performance, capability, luxury and technology.
“We are also well aware that Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition VIN #001 will be an instant collectible truck that is sure to excite enthusiasts, so we plan to make it available via auction with all proceeds going to charity. We look forward to providing further details about the auction and how potential buyers can bid on this very special Ram truck early next year.”
2021 Ram 1500 TRX
The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX builds on the awesome success of the standard 1500 and adds some neat upgrades to give it genuine performance.
It uses the superb 6.2-litre Hellcat supercharged V8 engine that delivers 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. That 702 number is how many units the Launch Edition is limited to.
That Launch Edition uses a standard TRX and adds the Level 2 Equipment Group. That’s carbon fibre interior trim elements, red stitching throughout, panoramic sunroof, Harmon Kardon audio, heads’ up display, surround view camera, heated steering wheel, bucket seats, automatic wipers, blind spot monitoring, beadlock wheels and exterior graphics to name just a few features.
There is also a unique colour called Anvil Grey that will only be available with the Launch Edition. Combined with dark trim throughout and some nice body styling, this is a standout truck for all the right reasons!
Other standout elements of the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX
The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX will also feature an 8 speed automatic transmission, heavy duty four wheel drive system, independent front suspension, Dana 60 rear axle, Bilstein performance shocks, BorgWarner transfer case, 18 inch wheels with 35 inch Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Tires and a whole lot more.
We fully expect the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition to sell out quickly, if it hasn’t done so already. We also suspect Ram may increase the production run further to capitalize on its success.
Even if it doesn’t, the standard 2021 Ram 1500 TRX isn’t being limited at all.
