The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica is a fantastic update to an already exceptional minivan and takes Chrysler people carrier further ahead of the competition.
We did get to see the vehicle at the Chicago Auto Show but that was so long ago that you could be forgiven for not remembering anything about it.
What’s new for 2021?
The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica has had some styling tweaks for the next model year. We see new front lighting, new grille, new rear liftgate, new rear lights and what looks like a new set of wheels.
Inside, there is a new 10.1” display with Uconnect 5, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a new interior camera for monitoring rear passengers and up to 12 USB charging ports.
The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica also gets AWD, a new Pinnacle trim and some new standard safety tech. That tech includes automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, LED headlights and adaptive cruise control. Other safety tech will be optional.
Mile munching minivan
If you have a family to haul, no other vehicle does it as well as the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica. It has a great look, great road manners, lots of technology and the interior space and practicality to make even the longest road trips a breeze.
The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica now comes with all-wheel drive as an option across all trim levels. This makes it an ideal option for Canadians who often drive in adverse conditions.
The 3.6-litre V6 engine is tried and tested and delivers power throughout the range. It uses Chrysler’s smooth 9 speed automatic transmission to provide drive.
There is also a hybrid option for the Pacifica. It uses the same 3.6-litre engine that has been downtuned and connected to an electric motor to deliver up to 32 miles of electric only drive. The hybrid doesn’t come with AWD though.
The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica is designed to move people with ease. The interior is spacious, seating comfortable and plentiful and there is enough room for cargo or luggage in back.
The front seats are firm but very comfortable. They come with adjustable arm rests and provide great support even for the longest drives. Second and third row seats are softer but just as supportive and can also be comfortable enough for extended road trips.
Those two rows fold flat to provide immense storage for larger items. Captain’s chairs are optional for the second row but they don’t fold quite as flat as the standard seats.
The new 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Pinnacle trim offers nappa leather seating, lumbar pillows for the second row captain’s chairs, a large centre console, suede headliner, wood trim and most available safety equipment.
The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica is due for release in Q4 2020. Visit Unique Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, 915 Walkers Line, Burlington, ON L7N 3V8 to learn more.
