2020 Jeep Cherokee Latitude Lux

2020 Jeep Cherokee Latitude Lux

Jeep has announced a new trim level for the Cherokee. Called the Jeep Cherokee Latitude Lux, it is designed to sit between the Latitude Plus and the Limited trims. It’s an extra reason to consider the smaller sibling to the Grand Cherokee and makes a solid middle ground for the current range of trims.

The Jeep Cherokee Latitude Lux will be available on the 3.2-litre V6 models with the nine speed automatic transmission.

Latitude Lux

The features of the Latitude Lux make it ideal for Canadian buyers. Highlights include heated Nappa leather front seats, heated steering wheel, automatic windshield wipers, wiper de-icer, full-speed forward collision warning, automatic emergency brake, lane departure warning and remote engine start.

Colour options are Diamond Black, Granite Crystal, Bright White, Velvet Red, Sting-Grey, Billet Silver, Blue Shade, Olive Green and Light Brownstone.

The order books should reopen soon and pricing can be provided once we know for sure.

2020 Jeep Cherokee

The 2020 Jeep Cherokee is the smaller, more affordable sibling to the Grand Cherokee that is also easier to drive around the city. It’s a sharp-looking vehicle, especially in some of the new colours and delivers a quality drive with a comfortable interior.

The styling is similar but also different to the Grand Cherokee. The signature grille is still present and correct while more aerodynamic in its shape. Short overhangs at either end hint at off road ability while a flat roofline and rising beltline add character to the profile.

Inside, the 2020 Jeep Cherokee is a nice place to be. High quality materials, good finishing, nice trim options, lots of technology and comfortable seating all add to its appeal. It is slightly smaller than the competition but few can match the build quality.

Engine and mechanicals

Under the hood of the Cherokee is either a 2.4-litre four cylinder with 180 hp, a 3.2-litre V6 with 271 hp or a 2.0-litre turbo four with 270 hp. All come with a nine speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. AWD is an option.

Competent chassis and suspension means the Cherokee is not just comfortable on the road but could cope with some rough stuff too. You won’t be following a Wrangler too far off road but for light work or exploration, the Cherokee can easily handle some off roading. Upgrade to the Trailhawk if you think you’ll go further.

It is easy to overlook the Cherokee for its bigger sibling but that might be a mistake. It is well worth checking out. Visit Unique Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, 915 Walkers Line, Burlington, ON L7N 3V8 when you can to take a test drive.
