2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock

2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock

The Challenger may be one of the oldest cars still in production but that doesn’t mean Dodge is sitting still. The car is continually updated and a whole realm of special editions are available for it. The newest of which is the 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock.

The 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock takes over from where the Demon left off. Unlike the Dodge Demon, this is no limited edition. This is a full fat line item that will remain in production for the foreseeable future.

SRT Super Stock

The 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock is built on the Hellcat Redeye Widebody. It still has the 6.2-litre Hemi V8 but it has been tweaked to deliver 807 hp and 707 lb-ft of torque.

The engine uses an eight speed automatic transmission to deliver a 0-60 time of 3.25 seconds and a 10.5 second quarter mile.

The Super Stock also has unique Bilstein adaptive suspension, new tires, upgraded Brembo brakes and vented rotors. There is also the option to upgrade the tires to drag radials if you want to use the car for the intent it was designed.

“There are a million jokes about bright colors, loud exhausts and racing stripes that make your car faster, but there is one sure thing — your car is only as fast as your tires,” said Tim Kuniskis, global head of Alfa Romeo and head of Passenger Cars – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and Fiat, FCA – North America.

“The 2020 Challenger SRT Super Stock gives our weekend warriors the ability to upgrade to 18-inch drag radials without having to spend a ton of money on changing out brakes and suspension components. The racing community has figured out very quickly that this package is a hot setup.”

New Edition

The 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock looks like an awesome car on paper. It has upgraded brakes and suspension, tuned Hemi V8, lightweight 18 inch wheels, the option of those 315/40R18 Nitto NT05R drag radial tires and asymmetrical limited-slip differential with a 3.09 final drive ratio.

All combine to deliver a drag racer like few others. A drag racer that should be equally at home on the road with standard tires.

Dodge has committed to the Challenger until at least 2023. The 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock has been included as a standard model so should be around at least that long. If it performs well enough, perhaps it will also feature in any upgraded or revised Challenger after 2023.

Production of the 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock is slated for fall 2020 and the order books will open later in August. Visit Unique Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, 915 Walkers Line, Burlington, ON L7N 3V8 to put your name down.
