2019 Kia Sorento adds new trims to range
Posted on May 28, 2019
The 2019 Kia Sorento is a top quality SUV that punches way above its weight in terms of quality and performance. To add to its appeal, Kia is adding two new trim levels to the range to boost features and comfort too. Welcome the Sorento S and the Sorento EX Sport to the range.
Kia Sorento S
The Kia Sorento S will sit above the LX and will feature the 3.3-litre V6 engine, 19 inch black alloy wheels, matching side mirrors and black roof rails. Those features are already options on the LX but work out much cheaper if you go for the Sorento S.
Kia Sorento EX Sport
The Kia Sorento EX Sport will sit above the S and below the range-topping EX model. It also includes the V6 engine, original 19 inch alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof and chrome roof rails. Again, all offered as options elsewhere but are cheaper in this trim.
Both trims will be available very soon.
2019 Kia Sorento
The 2019 Kia Sorento is a superb SUV that balances quality, comfort and price. It’s a fully loaded vehicle with great looks and the now familiar Kia design philosophy that looks so good. Priced very competitively and with solid performance, the Sorento is now a popular choice for families or those who need more space.
The design of the 2019 Kia Sorento is handsome. The design has been updated and looks great. With 19 inch wheels, the car sits comfortable on its haunches and carries its ride height very well. The frond end is angled to offset the size while the hood is smaller and more subtle than other SUVs.
Inside, the cabin is spacious and very well put together. There is a lot of soft touch material with quality finishing and few rattles or noises. It’s a composed place to spend time with comfortable seats, great visibility and a feeling of comfort in every row.
Under the hood is either a 2.4-litre four cylinder that produces 185 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque or a 3.3-litre V6 that produces 290 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque. Both use an automatic transmission to deliver power to the road. The four cylinder uses a six speed while the V6 uses and eight speed transmission.
Equipment levels are competitive whichever trim you go for. Models can come with stability control, a rearview camera, blind-spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alerts, parking sensors, forward-collision warnings with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and active lane control. A surround-view camera system is optional on all models.
With a five star safety rating and great reviews, the 2019 Kia Sorento should be on your list if you’re in the market for a budget SUV that doesn’t feel budget. Check it out at Grimsby Kia
