The 2019 Chrysler Pacifica 35th Anniversary Edition has just been revealed by Chrysler ahead of the Chicago Auto Show. The Pacifica, along with a similar Grand Caravan are part of the automaker’s celebrations of offering 35 years of people carriers to the market.
As well as 35 years of making minivans, they are also celebrating selling over 14.6 million of them across the world. Tenuous yes, but it’s the perfect excuse to unleash another special edition onto the buying public. When you see it, you will want one!
35th Anniversary Edition
The 2019 Chrysler Pacifica 35th Anniversary Edition looks good. I mean, really good. Yes it’s a minivan with a minivan shape but that doesn’t mean it cannot look good and doesn’t mean you cannot feel good while driving it.
This new special edition gets a new paint job in this very attractive ‘Cranberry Wine’ colour. There is an all-black interior with complementing stitching, trim elements, instruments and door handles. There is a 35th Anniversary Edition logo on the floor mats too.
While there are no mechanical upgrades to the 35th Anniversary Edition, the colour and trim look excellent. The body colour trim and accented interior has been well thought out and that exterior colour is worth the purchase price on its own!
2019 Chrysler Pacifica
The 2019 Chrysler Pacifica is at the top of the minivan game right now. This year’s version is unchanged so has all the features that have gone down so well with current owners.
The design is handsome and makes the shape as aero and as interesting as it is possible to get. The front end is low and offers excellent front visibility while the profile is simple with a slightly sloping roof, rounded panels and simple rear end. Inside, good materials and finishing quality are obvious and the quantity of technology on offer is truly impressive.
Under the hood is the ever-popular 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 that produces 287 hp and sends it to the front wheels via a nine speed automatic transmission. Tuned suspension means the Pacifica drives well and corners and manoeuvres more like a car than a van.
Impressive interior trims with its 140.5 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear rows folded down make this a hit with families. Keep the seats up and you can easily fit seven people in comfort.
The 2018 Pacifica won Top Safety Pick from IIHS and five stars from NHTSA. As this model has yet to be tested but is unchanged, we expect the 2019 model to achieve the same. With forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and a surround-view camera system available on all trim levels as standard or an option, safety is taken very seriously indeed.
The 2019 Chrysler Pacifica is a superb people carrier and is easily the most attractive minivan on the market. Well I think so anyway. Visit Unique Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, 915 Walkers Line, Burlington, ON L7N 3V8 to see if you feel the same!
