2018 Ram 1500 Hydro Blue Sport: A Closer Look

Ram loves its special editions just like Dodge. There seems to be more special editions than new models and that is fine by us. The more options and the more ways we have to differentiate ourselves from the crowd, the happier we are. That why we like the 2018 Ram 1500 Hydro Blue Sport so much.
The 2018 Ram 1500 Hydro Blue Sport looks like no other truck on the road. The colour is striking and really makes the truck stand out. Along with the earlier Sublime Green, Ignition Orange and Copper editions, the Hydro Blue edition is great to look at.
The truck has a new hood with black detailing to contrast with the blue and body coloured grille and trim. The lack of chrome works in the truck’s favour I think. While chrome is fine, anyone who lives with lots of it knows it attracts dirt and needs a lot of cleaning to keep looking good. It also makes this version really stand out.
The 2018 Ram 1500 Hydro Blue Sport also has black badging, black lighting and body coloured detailing across the entire truck. Two polished aluminium wheel options are available with this truck in 20” and 22” sizes.
On the inside, a dark gray interior has blue contrast sticking and detailing throughout. The instruments feature blue anodizing and the centre console has yet more blue trim.
Available only on the V8 Ram 1500 Sport crew cab, short bed body, 2018 Ram 1500 Hydro Blue Sport makes an already great truck something really special.
With heated seats, heated steering wheel, active air suspension, RamBox storage and ParkSense, the Sport is a great truck. It also has USB charging, LED lighting, running lights, power accessories, climate control, adjustable pedals, navigation, CarPlay and Android Auto and lots more either as standard or as options.
Add the 5.7-litre Hemi V8 engine that produces 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque through an eight speed automatic transmission and AWD options and you have a truck that can go anywhere and do anything a light truck should be able to do.
With the underlying truck being so strong, we think this Hydro Blue Sport version will be as successful, if not more so, than the other special editions we have seen this year. As far as we know this is the final special edition of this year.
