2018 Jeep Wrangler spied

2018 Jeep Wrangler spied

640 × 402
Last week it seems someone managed to get hold of an image of the interior of the new 2018 Jeep Wrangler. While unconfirmed, the new interior is definitely a Jeep of some kind and many commentators are sure that it is the 2018 Jeep Wrangler.

I hope it is as the entire dashboard looks to have brought the Wrangler into the 21st century at last. It isn’t just a new binnacle or some new materials, this looks like a whole new cabin for the car.

We note that the window controls remain in the central position. This leads us to think the doors will be removable just like the current model. There are also control for what looks like climate control and perhaps heated seats too. There are also four extra controls that we don’t know the purpose of yet.

What looks like a manual transmission is present, so there is likely to be both manual and automatic options. There may also be the edge of a shifter just behind the steering wheel or it might be part of the steering column. It is hard to tell. We don’t get to see much of the instruments either so will have to wait for those too.

What is obvious is the centre stack and its touchscreen with Uconnect. This is a welcome inclusion. The 2018 Jeep Wrangler is expected to begin production this November.

2017 Jeep Wrangler
The 2017 Jeep Wrangler continues the theme of the go anywhere car. It may not have the luxury of Lincoln or the refinement of a Range Rover but it is almost unstoppable once it gets onto the rough stuff.

The design is iconic, the front end includes a signature Jeep grille that is continued throughout the brand. The two round headlights have been on the Jeep for decades and are as much a part of its character as the name. The squared edges, flat panels and simple styling all hide what is a very capable platform underneath.

The cabin is basic but comfortable. All switches are robust, materials are tough and easy to clean and the seats hold you tight wherever you drive. It isn’t a car for long road trips but that isn’t what anyone would buy a Wrangler for.

The 2017 Jeep Wrangler uses a 3.6-litre V6 engine that produces 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The engine works with a six speed manual or five speed automatic to drive all wheels.

The 2017 Jeep Wrangler is the go-to vehicle for anyone who loves the brand or who goes off road. Check out the latest deals on this iconic car at Parkway Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Mississauga, 2260 Battleford Road, Mississauga, ON, L5N 3K6!
