I think the 2018 Ford Expedition is an awesome update to the inimitable Ford full-size SUV. Now I know the new Ford SUV can stream TV or music as well as take me on road trips wherever I may like to go, I like it even more.

The 2018 Ford Expedition is going to have an optional feature that streams media to in-car entertainment. It will provide a Wi-Fi hotspot which will be able to feed up to 10 devices at a range of 50 feet. As long as your data plan can cope with the strain it means you should never be out of touch and the kids should never be bored on a long journey. For those two reasons alone it is worth buying!

The system will have a range of features including the setup we already know, headrest screens showing streaming TV or movies to passengers. The ones we have now play DVDs or stored media from the centre stack but these new versions will have the option to stream from the internet too. The system will also integrate with Slingbox if you have an account.

The system will also work with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to keep the basics covered. While certainly not a feature to persuade a purchase on its own, combined with the great look, new body and new character of the Expedition, it is certainly one more reason to consider it when it is released.

The 2018 Ford Expedition has been brought right up to date with an aluminium body and now it is more integrated with the Ford family look. The old model needed a refresh and this certainly delivers the goods.

It shares a front end similar to the Edge and Land Rover with a pair of big lights at either side of the silver grille and a slightly angled nose with bumper front and centre. A slightly pitched hood meets a sharply raked windshield and a flat roof to create the feeling of size without bulk.

On the inside, the Expedition is more luxurious than ever. Better materials, higher quality finishing, great design and lots of features are all welcome additions. Lots of light, space and comfort will make road trips a breeze too.
Under the hood is a turbocharged 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 engine that uses a new ten speed automatic transmission. It also uses automatic stop-start to help save a little gas.

We don’t know many facts and figures as yet but we expect the 2018 Ford Expedition to be very competitive in its niche. If you’re interested in learning more, contact the guys at Northway Ford Lincoln, 388 King George Road Brantford ON N3S 3N2. They would be happy to help!
