2017 Kia Cadenza coming soon

2017 Kia Cadenza coming soon

640 × 480
An updated version of Kia’s excellent sedan is coming sometime this month. The 2017 Kia Cadenza is a great looking update to what is an already accomplished car. This is the second generation of the Kia sedan that took the motoring world by surprise. While surprise is no longer on its side, a reputation for amazing luxury at a very low price very much is.

Elegant design
The 2017 Kia Cadenza is bucking the trend. While other automakers are pulling us towards crossovers and SUVs, the Cadenza is showing us all that the sedan body shape still has a lot of life left in it. This years’ version is all new and we expect sales to be swift.

The design is smooth and elegant. The tiger nose has been softened slightly to provide a wider and more subtle character. Angled lighting and curved hood give the car a very mature look with a slight hint at masculinity. Smooth sides, curved roof and a solid rear quarter add a very planted stance.

Inside, the cabin has been completely revamped. Better materials, a slicker design and more passenger space are the order of the day here. Wider doors, Easy Entry seating and lots of open space make the Cadenza an easy car to live with. A considered driving position with thoughtfully positioned switches and controls ensures it is just as easy to drive.

Driving the 2017 Kia Cadenza
Under that  attractive hood is an updated version of the 3.3-litre V6 engine that served in the previous model. It produces 290 hp and 253 lb-ft of torque and utilizes a new eight speed automatic transmission to send power to the rear wheels. Power delivery is smooth, changes slick and driving effortless.

Like most upscale sedans, the Cadenza isn’t a car for feeling every movement on the road. It’s for wafting comfortably to and from work or road trips in comfort. With those intentions in mind, it delivers a smooth, unruffled drive.

As always, Kia have stuffed the car full of technology. The 2017 Kia Cadenza features adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree parking camera, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to start. There is also 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio, heated seats, Kia UVO, keyless entry and ignition, remote trunk and the usual features you would expect from a vehicle at this level.

We haven’t got to try the 2017 Kia Cadenza yet. However, the existing model is a great drive so we expect this one to be just as good, if not better. Deliveries should be soon, so visit Georgetown Kia, 199 and 314 Guelph Street, Georgetown, Ontario to see both generations of Kia Cadenza.
