2016 Nissan Rogue announced

An updated Nissan Rogue will hit dealerships next year
Nissan has announced. After the current model his three years old, a new
version will be made available for the 2016 model year.

The hints so far are that the styling will be tweaked but
not overhauled as the current model still looks the business. Safety and
efficiency will of course be updated, as will trims, technology options and
packages. We expect to see exterior trim upgrades, a new colour and a few other
tweaks upon release.

According to leaks, the 2016 Nissan Rogue can be specified
with Forward Emergency Braking, power liftgate, NissanConnect, Siri Eyes Free
and a new radar-based Blind Spot Warning System. We expect further upgrades to
be announced close to next year's auto show season.

"The crossover segment, particularly small crossovers,
is the hottest part of the automotive market right now," said Fred Diaz,
senior vice president, Sales & Marketing and Operations, U.S.A., Nissan
North America, Inc. "The Nissan Rogue is leading the sales growth pace and
has not yet shown us the upper limits of the potential in the market."

2015 Nissan Rogue

The current 2015 Nissan Rogue is a good seller for the
Japanese automaker. It's a compact crossover that can be configured for five or
seven passengers on a very competent platform.

The design is modern, friendly and very appealing. It
manages to hold its own in a market full of lookalikes and still look cutting
edge. Sculpted lines and a flowing, back-heavy profile make for a nice outline.
From the front and rear, rounded edges and a solid stance add confidence.

Inside, Nissan's trademark quality abounds. Materials and
finishing is excellent with lots of padding and a refined look all round.
Passenger space is plentiful and visibility is good in every direction. The
driving position inspires confidence, with everything within reach, lots of
safety technology and all that glass offering few blind spots.

The 2015 Nissan Rogue uses a 2.5-litre four cylinder engine
that delivers 170 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. It uses a CVT transmission to
send power to the front wheels. AWD is an option.

There are three trim levels, S, SV and SL. All have a wealth
of options including an extra row of seats for the Rogue S and SV. Even the
base S is well equipped. It offers 17 inch wheels, LED lighting, keyless entry,
cruise control, air conditioning, 5 inch screen, reversing camera, Bluetooth
connectivity and CD audio.

The 2015 Nissan Rogue is a great family car that is so much
more than the sum of its parts. Check it out at Collins Nissan, 155 Scott St.,
St. Catharines, ON L2N 1H3.
