2016 Ford F-150 Limited

2016 Ford F-150 Limited

One of the
growing trends in trucks is to offer the potential to deck them out like a
luxury sedan. Despite it being for work, it is now possible to load just about
any truck with technology and creature comforts like never before. We think
it's a good thing. After all, if you're in the truck for hours at a time, why
not be comfortable?

So when Ford mooted the new F-150 Limited, we were excited to see what the automaker had in
store.

What makes
the 2016 Ford F-150 Limited so special? It is absolutely loaded. It will
contain every F-150 option as standard plus a few unique Limited extras. If you
want to work in comfort, this is the truck for you!

The
range-topping truck will feature special Mojave leather, heated and vented
front seats with massage function, panoramic sunroof, power running boards,
remote tailgate release, LED lighting, 360 degree camera, adaptive cruise
control, lane keeping assist, heated rear seats, Ford Sync 3, blind spot
warning, cross traffic alert, trailer hitch assist and a whole lot more.

To make 2016
Ford F-150 Limited feel even more special there are four special colours,
Shadow Black, Magnetic, Blue Jeans and White Platinum Metallic. Each will be
very distinctive. There will also be specific trim, large "Limited"
badging across the truck and not forgetting huge 22 inch alloy wheels to really
stand out.

There will
be a single engine option for the 2016 Ford F-150 Limited, a 3.5-litre EcoBoost
V6 that delivers 365 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. It will also have an
electronic six-speed automatic transmission with three driving modes, tow, haul
and sport. While the need for a sport mode in a truck is up for debate, the
other two modes will have real world applications.

Despite
being already loaded, the truck will still be ready for work. It will be able
to tow up to 10,100 pounds and will still have a full size truck bed at the
back.

"The
F-150 Limited sets a new bar for what discerning customers should expect in a
high-end truck," said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president, Global Product
Development. "We're adding segment-exclusive technology, and features that
improve productivity, convenience and capability with distinctive style."

The 2016
Ford F-150 Limited is due winter 2015.
