2016 Dodge Charger and Challenger Go Mango

Both the 2016 Dodge Charger and 2016 Dodge Challenger get a new body colour option for this year’s model. Not big news I hear you say, but when the colour is one of the best colours anywhere, on any vehicle, ever, I think it is big news. The colour is called Go Mango and it is awesome.

Go Mango is a heritage colour, having featured on High Impact Dodge cars back in the 1970s. It is one of the few bright colours to successfully make the transition from that time into this time and it works. The tone, the depth, the hue and even the layering of Go Mango is perfect. Combined with the black stripes and trim of the Hellcat and you have one of the prettiest cars ever.

You will only be able to Go Mango on an SRT 392 or Hellcat. So if you were waiting to make a buying decision, now is the time and Go Mango is most definitely the colour!

2016 Dodge Challenger SRT 392

The 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT 392 is an awesome variant of the Challenger that is often overshadowed by the Hellcat. We have had one in our Dodge dealership and it looks and sounds awesome.

After the significant redesign of 2015, Dodge decided to leave well alone and concentrated on refining the product rather than reinventing it. This year’s model gets some new wheel options, some new trim and the Plum Crazy colourway. Aside from Go Mango, Plum Crazy is our favourite colour.

The 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT 392 features a 6.4-litre V8 motor that delivers 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. It uses either a six speed manual or eight speed automatic transmission to send power to the rear. With a 0-60 of around 4 seconds, it’s no slouch.

The SRT can feature the Shaker hood, 20 inch alloy wheels, Brembo brakes, unique air intake, adaptive suspension, sportier power steering settings, upgraded leather interior, upgraded trip computer and 18-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. It also benefits from bi-xenon headlights, rear parking sensors, power-folding mirrors, blind-spot warning system, rear cross-path warning and remote ignition.

For such a big, powerful car the 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT 392 drives really well. It is as at home on the daily commute as it is on the track and is certainly more comfortable and refined than you might think!
