2015 Hyundai Veloster Turbo

2015 Hyundai Veloster Turbo

The
2015 Hyundai Veloster Turbo is a car designed for those who like to look
good and enjoy a modern, sleek car that is sure to turn heads. The
Veloster design is modern, attractive and shoots well above tis weight.
We love it!

The overall shape and design of the 2015
Hyundai Veloster Turbo mirrors that of the standard Veloster. However
there are a few details that mark this model apart. A hexagonal grille
feeds plenty of air onto that engine while sportier side sills and body
kit, rounded fog lights and a rear rooftip spoiler completes the
look.

The unique door arrangement remains for the
Turbo version too, which is great as far as we’re concerned. The
driver’s side has a single coupe-style door while the passenger side has
a front and rear passenger door. It’s a cool differentiator between the
Veloster and the competition that also has real life benefits. Once
you’re used to it, it’s a great addition to the
design!

Inside, buyers get turbo badging, a TFT
screen between dials, leather upholstery as standard, Dimension Audio,
Blue Link Telematics, aluminum pedals, backlit dials, heated seats, iPod
and USB inputs, reversing camera and more.

There is
plenty of interior space with two bucket-style seats at the front and
two foldable seats in back. Fold them down and you can get around 15.5
cu.ft. of cargo space accessed from the cabin or
hatch.

The main difference between the standard
Veloster and the 2015 Hyundai Veloster Turbo is obviously the engine.
It’s still the 1.6-liter inline four as the standard version, but this
one has a turbo bolted on. That turbo provides 18 psi of boost,
increasing power output from 138 hp and 123 lb-ft of torque to 201 hp
and 195 lb-ft of torque. It does all that while still achieving up to 35
MPG!

You can have either a manual or automatic
transmission, both come with six speeds that sends power to the front
wheels. The chassis and suspension has been left unchanged as it’s
already a very capable package. The steering rack has been upgraded to
offer more responsive steering though.

If that wasn’t
enough, there is also a Turbo R-Spec version of the 2015 Hyundai
Veloster Turbo that offers more tweaks to improve road holding and
looks. Tuned suspension, tweaked steering and a close ratio transmission
are the main mechanical differences on offer. R-Spec badging, signature
colors and other, more subtle styling options on the outside make it
stand apart further.
