The 2015 Hyundai Sonata is a great looking family sedan. The new design took what was great about the previous version and made everything better. It is a more grownup design that shows both Hyundai and the Sonata coming of age.
The design is sleek with a single flowing line going from the lower front sill, over the sloping hood, raked windshield, curved roof and over the trunk. The profile is pretty good too.
Inside, materials and build quality have all been improved. Earlier Hyundai were well put together but that has been elevated further in the 2015 Hyundai Sonata. Better materials, more sound insulation, better trim and more of those little touches make for a much better place to spend time. The driving position is pretty good too.
The sound insulation makes a big difference to the driving experience. It seems only slightly louder than an electric car and that is no exaggeration. It is exceptionally quiet and smooth. The suspension hides poor roads and smooths out rough surfaces almost as well, giving the impression of almost floating over bad highways. It is one of the highlights of driving the 2015 Hyundai Sonata.
Under the hood is either a 2.4-litre four cylinder that produces 185 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque, a 2.0-litre turbo four that produces 245 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque or a 1.6-litre turbo four that produces 177 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. All use a six or seven speed automatic transmission.
Safety tech includes antilock brakes, traction and stability control, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and a driver knee airbag. Hyundai Blue Link, reversing camera, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert features are optional.
Features include power accessories, cruise control, air conditioning, Bluetooth, keyless entry, alloy wheels and a CD player with satellite radio.
The 2015 Hyundai Sonata looks fantastic, drives exceptionally well and represents excellent value for money. Visit Betterway Sales & Leasing, 289 HWY #8 , Stoney Creek, ON, L8G 1E5 to see it for yourself.
