2015 Fiat 500 Sport: A Quick Overview

If you’re in the market for a small car that offers lots of fun, the 2015 Fiat 500 Sport is it!
The 2015 Fiat 500 Sport is a city car that has almost 70 years of history. First launched as the Cinquecento in 1950, the Fiat 500 has pretty much kept the Italian automaker alive during some very tough times. All because the small chassis and peppy engines offer such a great driving experience.
The 2015 Fiat 500 continues the trend of keeping things simple and modern with a respectful nod to its heritage. The design remains largely the same, with a small rounded hood, small rounded headlights, modest Fiat grille badge, rounded roofline and rounded rear end. It is a pretty little car. One of the only cars aside from the original mini where calling it ‘cute’ is a compliment and not an insult.
Cabin slickness
The 2015 Fiat 500 Sport is a two door coupe or convertible. The two seats up front are large and comfortable enough for adults but the two in back are best left to shopping or small children.
The cabin feels funky in a good way. The colouring complements the exterior and the hard plastic materials feel reassuring rather than tacky. It is a tough balance to strike, to deliver quality at a low price without feeling cheap. Fiat have pulled it off with the 500 which is why they sell so well.
There is no large centre stack or captain’s chairs here. Instead you see a single instrument binnacle with digital display showing you everything you need to know. The interior is compact but does have enough room for two adults to sit side by side in comfort.
Under the hood of the 2015 Fiat 500 Sport is a 1.4-litre TwinAir engine that delivers 101 hp and 98 lb-ft of torque. It uses an automatic transmission to send power to the front wheels. While 101 hp doesn’t sound like much, the entire package weighs a mere 940kg so has plenty of get up and go and is perfect for urban driving.
