Rumors abound that Nissan are set to
announce a new hybrid concept called the Resonance at the Detroit Auto Show on January 15.
Nissan haven’t said much about the Resonance so far, just that they are planning the reveal at Detroit, on the opening day, which is next Tuesday, January 15. The only other things we know is that the concept will be a hybrid crossover. A teaser picture was also released, but as you can see, it doesn’t tell us all that much.
It will be an interesting release, especially as Nissan as hinted at a completely new display at the show, complete with soft music, auto-inspired fragrances and a complete sensory experience. Much has been hinted about the Nissan stand, so it will be interesting to see if the reality lives up to the hype.
Nissan are said to be planning a revamp of the aged Murano, which the Resonance might be. It could also be the new Rogue, another model hinted at by the Japanese automaker, or a more realistic imagining of the TeRRa concept we saw in Paris last year.
Whatever the Resonance actually is, the hype machine is already in full swing and we are as interested as anybody to find out what’s going on.
With many automakers turning away from hybrids and EVs in favor of better fuel efficiency for standard engines, it’s good to see the technology is still alive. The more research and advancements made in this field, the more alternatives we as buyers have.
We are waiting with baited breath for the Detroit Auto Show as it never disappoints. Keep an eye on this blog to stay up to date with what we see.

Why don't you make one?
