News at last that the 2013 Dodge Challenger
R/T Redline will be appearing at the Chicago Auto Show this week. After several other R/T models were announced over Christmas, we were waiting with baited breath to catch a glimpse of a real one, now it seems we can.
The 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T Redline gets the Hemi engine, the 5.7-liter V8 that produces 375 hp. That in turn, is connected to the rear wheels by a Tremec six-speed manual transmission, with a five-speed auto as an option. Performance suspension keeps you on the road and pointing in the right direction.
Visuals on the exterior include 20” alloy wheels, in black with red accents. The car will come in a choice of four colors, Billet Silver, Granite Crystal, Bright White and Pitch Black. We’re guessing black will be the biggest seller, especially if that image above is anything to go by!
The upholstery will be dark slate with either leather or material. The usual Challenger interior will be enhanced by alloy pedals, a Mopar T-handle shifter and remote start button.
What won’t be so obvious is the inclusion of heated front seats, six Boston Acoustics premium speakers, ParkSense rear park assist, power heated mirrors and an alarm system.
The 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T Redline joins the Charger Daytona and the Blacktop Avenger and Challenger in a series of special editions that add an important originality and personality into the range. The standard Challenger is really something special, but these editions take that and pile on the options until they are something really special.
The Chicago Auto Show is looking good so far, with potential reveals from Dodge, Kia, Toyota and many more. We are especially looking forward to the Kia Cross GT and the Superman Kia Optima Hybrid, as well as the 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T Redline!

Why don't you make one?
