Accent, Elantra and Veloster Make the 2012 Car of the Year List Hyundai topped the list of car manufacturers nominated for North American Car of the Year with 3 vehicles in the race, the 2012 Accent, the 2012 Elantra and the 2012 Veloster. You can argue that Volkwagen has 4, but that's counting their Audi brand.
